about Eynsford Christian Fellowship (Baptist) |

That early pioneering spirit of Eynsford Baptist Church has continued down the years, with Christians witnessing to the Lord Jesus Christ, and maintaining a worshipping and witnessing Community to serve each generation. Part of that witness is a regular programme of well-known artists, singers and speakers, including Bryn Haworth, Dave Bilborough, Ian White, John Gaughan, Jim Epley, and P.G.Vargis.
Church Mission
At Eynsford Christian Fellowship, our aim is to reach the whole of Eynsford and surrounding area with the good news of Jesus Christ through works of FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE.
We believe that The Holy Spirit wants to speak to all believers, through all believers, so we worship God in an open style. We have a deep desire to see people of all ages and backgrounds exercising spiritual gifts and playing a full part in worship.
As part of the Church in Eynsford
At Eynsford Christian Fellowship, we believe God has called us to encourage all of the Churches as they seek to serve Him, and to be open to encouragement by all. We believe that God wants all Churches to pray for revival (new life) in the Church in our land.
There are other local Churches with whom we seek to have fellowship; the Anglican Church of Eynsford, St Martin, and Darent Valley Community Church.
As part of the World Church
Appeals by Christians to fellow Christians are as old as the Gospel itself. Acts 16:9-15 gives an account of Paul responding to someone's prayer, which resulted in Paul receiving a vision, and then following God's call.
“A vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, appealing to him, saying, "Come across to Macedonia, and help us". After he had seen the vision, we at once set about getting a passage to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them. Therefore leaving Troas, we made a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis, and from there to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a Roman colony: and we stayed in that city a number of days. On the Sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, to a place of prayer; and we sat down, and spoke to the women who had gathered there. A certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple fabric, of the city of Thyatira, who was a worshipper of God, heard us: and the Lord opened her heart to respond to what Paul said. She was baptised, along with her household, and she pleaded with us, and said "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, stay at my house". And she insisted on this”
The Eynsford Christian Fellowship has in the past planted new Churches, and aims to develop Mission Teams, Christian Literature, prayer and encouragement, in assisting fellow Christians in the spread of the Gospel. |
